About Us

Walking in Scotland is a very popular activity.  With so many paths and trails to choose from, deciding where you want to go and how long for, is not an easy decision.  At WAS, we will provide customers with the help and advice they need to choose their ideal walking holiday.  Whether it is one of our featured routes or a bespoke, tailor made holiday on one of Scotland’s Great Trails, we hope that we can fulfil all your walking needs.

Registered in October 2013, Walk Across Scotland is a small, family run business, specialising in self-guided, independent walking holidays.   Alongside our friendly and professional service, we aim to provide customers with a fantastic and memorable walking experience.

EasyWays is an independent Booking Service that provides support to walkers who want to get closer to the wonderful scenery and history that makes Scotland such an attractive outdoor destination.

These services include advice on booking overnight accommodation, baggage handling and, where required, taxi and airport transfers.

Based in Central Scotland, we have a wealth of advice and local knowledge to share that can only come from living close at hand to the walk locations. Our periodic Newsletter and Annual Events List detailing the full range of activities available in Scotland throughout the year are designed to assist you in making your choice and date of walk.

EasyWays was formed in 1996, initially to provide a service on the West Highland Way,  and has grown over time to now offer walks on 24 of the main long-distance routes around Scotland from the North Coast Trail along the spectacular Pentland Firth coastline to Hadrian’s Wall in the south just over the border with England.

2017 witnessed our new and exciting expansion into European Walking tours in Spain and Italy and in late 2019 EasyWays secured the CNDo Guided Tour business thereby offering walkers the choice of group guided to complement a self-guided walking experience.

These guided tours focus on the more remote parts of Scotland such as The Outer Hebrides, Skye and Shetland.

In 2022 EasyWays entered into an agreement with Walk Across Scotland and Make Tracks to significantly consolidate presence in the self-guided sector.  This development also increased our international partnership collaborations offering an improved end product within the worldwide walking community.

Of course it is possible to arrange a walking tour yourself however it tends to be a time consuming, multi-step process that involves extensive research into the route options and reading lots of online reviews to gain an informed choice. It’s then a matter of contacting each accommodation and a bag transfer provider to check availability, make individual payments and secure each booking. If there is no availability at just one stage, you may have to reschedule the whole walk!

EasyWays provides the alternative.

With real time overview on availability across the whole route we take the strain out of your planning by making all bookings on your behalf with a guarantee that no payment is requested until you are completely satisfied with the proposed itinerary. The success of this practice is evidenced by the number of repeat bookings we receive each year and gives me the confidence to reassure you that you will not find a better quality of walking package anywhere else at such a competitive price.

In closing can I say “Thank You” to all who have walked with EasyWays in the past and for anyone undecided on whether to use our services, please come forward in the confidence that we will not let you down.
